Chen’s three-part series follows commuters who are not, in any quantifiable way, the target customer: a hospice nurse, a retired typesetter, a young parent on parental leave. The product appears, but the films are not about it.

What this series gets right is patience. Each piece runs four minutes; nothing is skimmed; the brand is willing to be background. That is rarer than craft.
