After Heat

Veil rents the desert and turns the heat into a costume. The film is a fashion-film by category and a still life by instinct: long takes of fabric moving against bare rock, no plot, no dialogue, a brand mark held for one frame at the cut.

The grade is the work. Strom shoots clean, then Mendes pushes the image toward terracotta until the bottle reads as the only cool object in the landscape.
